Circa most likely early xxxxs cast iron stove designed to burn coal or wood for heating a train caboose. I purchased this stove in xxxx while living in Virginia. Research has led me to Virginia Metal Crafters that were making castings during the civil war and continue today as the company that bought the W.J. Loth Stove Company many years ago. I have never found another like it and when contacting VMC they said they did not have records going back to when the stove was made.
The little stove was used as a prop in the play "Bus Stop" and has been the conversation over the years when seen by our guests. Now is the time for a new home or heat your shop with this cute little pot-belly stove.
